Grants and Contracts Manager
Wayne Johannessen is excited to join CGMT as a Grants and Contracts Manager. A seasoned grants and contracts professional, he brings extensive experience managing personnel and supporting both pre- and post-award activities for sponsored research within departments that maintain large and diverse portfolios. He holds a bachelor's degree in Economics and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from High Point University.
Wayne's background in research administration and grants management includes positions with the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality's Division of Marine Fisheries, the UNC Institute of Marine Sciences, the Duke School of Medicine, and the Duke Marine Lab. Through these roles, he has developed broad expertise in sponsored research administration and a strong commitment to supporting research teams and their success.
