Valery Nelson

Research Project Manager

Valery joined the Duke Office of Scientific Integrity in December of 2021.  She currently supports both Quality Management Programs and the ASIST Program.  Valery holds a Master’s degree in Biology from St. Joseph College.  She is a career scientist, having worked at the bench and managed both research and clinical laboratories.   Prior to relocating to Durham and joining Duke in 2018 as a lab manager for the SOM, Valery managed a Cytogenetics lab at GeneDx in Gaithersburg MD and also held an adjunct faculty position at Johns Hopkins University.
