Senior Research Development Associate

Leisa Glantz, Ph.D., leverages a rich background in neuroscience research, scientific writing, and grant development to advance faculty success at Duke University's Office of Campus Research Development. As a Senior Research Development Associate, she supports faculty across disciplines in identifying funding opportunities, developing competitive proposals, and ensuring compliance with sponsor guidelines. Dr. Glantz’s scientific background focused on the neuropathophysiology underlying neuropsychiatric diseases using neuroanatomical and proteogenomic studies. Dr. Glantz has held postdoctoral and faculty appointments in which she has been awarded numerous private and federal grants, including a National Institutes of Health (NIH) K01 Mentored Research Scientist Career Development Award. Dr. Glantz has an extensive publication record, and one of Dr. Glantz’s publications was the subject of a special editorial that hailed the study as a “measured milestone in schizophrenia research.” Prior to joining OCRD, Leisa served as a scientific consultant specializing in grant strategy and proposal development. She supported clients in biotechnology, neurotechnology, and medical devices in securing federal and private funding. Her expertise spans NIH, NSF, and DoD mechanisms.
