Kindra King earned her PhD from the University Program for Genetics and Genomics at Duke University in 2012. After graduating, she worked as a medical writer for clients in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, developing learning systems that described a wide range of disease states and their associated treatment options. From this work, Kindra became interested in how best to communicate complex science clearly and succinctly to people with different educational backgrounds and points of view. In 2018, Kindra joined the DOSI team where she works to support research integrity by fostering initiatives that improve clear communication and greater transparency in the scientific community.
