Creating Subject Pools

Departments or units creating subject pools need approval by the full IRB. Applications for creating subject pools will include descriptions of the proposed administrative structure, group testing/prescreening, recruitment, consent, debriefing, compensation, and protection of identifiable information.

Researchers using subject pools to recruit participants need their own IRB approval for each study they run.
