CDSA Monthly Update: July 2025
Welcome to your July CDSA e-update - where we share news and updates about Compute and Data Services Alliance (CDSA) initiatives, services, tools, and enhancements.
- We’re looking for feedback on our "Finder Tool", designed to help researchers identify the right data services for their needs, including storage and compute platforms, data collection tools, repositories, and more. If you or members of your lab (faculty, staff or trainees) are interested in joining a Virtual Feedback Session, please contact Rebecca Brouwer (rebecca.brouwer@duke.edu). Sessions held on:
- July 22: 12:30–1:30 PM
- July 24: 1:30–2:30 PM
- July 28: 12:00–1:00 PM
- Do you have an upcoming new PhD onboarding session? If so, please consider including a CDSA representative to provide your students a brief but informative overview of available research and compute services and tools. To schedule, reach out to cdsa_research@duke.edu.
- Duke University has selected TIND RDM as its new repository platform for the Duke Research Data Repository, and is migrating from Hyrax, an open-source repository engine from Samvera. The Duke Research Data Repository (RDR) is a service of the Duke University Libraries, with the mission to curate, publish, and archive Duke digital research data from any discipline. Read the full news release here.
- Choosing the right compute and storage platforms is key to conducting research that’s both efficient and compliant. Check out the updated guidance from the CDSA virtual team, now available on MyResearchPath.
