Youth In Labs Town Hall

As we prepare for summer 2025, the Office of Youth Protection and the Occupational & Environmental Safety Office are teaming up to host our first Youth in Labs Town Hall on March 6 at 1 PM

Who should come? This town hall will be for anyone planning to sponsor or mentor minors (under age 18) in a laboratory setting: Principal Investigators, lab managers, lab staff, post docs, and student workers. We would love to see at least one representative from each lab planning to host a minor.

What will we discuss? We’ll talk about updates to the Youth Protection and Minors in Work Areas policies as well as common questions during the registration process. We will also review what needs to be included in the Participation Agreement and tips from OESO on getting the Workplace Safety Statement approved quickly!
