Self-assessment competency test

If you receive a score of 90% or higher on this Self-Assessment competency test (single-attempt allowed), your requirement for the Faculty and Staff RCR program will be complete and no further action will be required to receive RCR credit before June 30, 2019.

The purpose of this assessment is to test your basic knowledge and understanding of research integrity and responsible conduct of research (RCR) in the academic environment. It tests your understanding of issues and concepts relevant to RCR, rather than your knowledge of RCR regulations and facts.  There are two separate self-assessments, one for Faculty and one for Staff.  The estimated time to complete either assessment is 25-35 min.

Remember, taking this assessment is optional and your final score is confidential.  A score of 90% or higher will be automatically recorded in the LMS system, communicated to your department as “Complete," and and no further action is required to receive RCR credit.  A score of less than 90% will be considered "Incomplete” and will NOT be communicated to your department. You will need to complete one of the other RCR training options if you receive an “Incomplete” score on the assessment.
