Research Integrity Associate
After graduating from Texas A&M, Kelsey Smith earned her doctorate in Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where she studied the enduring behavioral and neuroplastic effects of adolescent stress in adulthood. Before joining ASIST she spent two years at Duke in collaboration with the Durham VA Hospital studying a rodent model of mild traumatic brain injury and substance abuse as a postdoctoral research fellow.
As a new ASIST associate, Kelsey is excited to promote a culture of scientific integrity at Duke by increasing awareness and access to resources that make it easier for researchers to focus on their science.
