Director, Duke Office of Research Initiatives
As the Director of the Duke Office of Research Initiatives, Jamie leads strategic efforts to strengthen research operations and infrastructure, oversees the Research Project Management Core and Academic Project Management Core, and develops educational programs to support researchers. Before stepping into this role, she spearheaded the creation of myRESEARCHpath, an institution-wide interactive roadmap designed to guide investigators through Duke’s complex research landscape.
Since joining Duke in 2011, Jamie has held various roles within the Duke Office of Research Initiatives, the Duke Office of Clinical Research, and the Duke Faculty Club. Her diverse experience spans program development and management, strategic planning, and faculty engagement across multiple disciplines.
Jamie holds a B.A. in Exercise and Sport Science and an M.A. in Exercise Physiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, along with a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
