Drug Trials Saved Lenny, and Will Help Thousands More

For some people with metastatic cancer, surviving can depend on a combination of factors – some of it specific to the disease, some of it good fortune.  That was true for Lenny Santoro. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2011 at age 59, and, thanks to clinical trials he participated in at the Duke Cancer Institute, he is today healthier than he was before he was diagnosed.
