Betting on Made-in-America Computer Chips: a Progress Report
DURHAM, N.C. -- It’s been more than a year since Congress passed the bipartisan CHIPS and Science Act, which invests $52 billion in federal subsidies and another $24 billion in tax credits to reinvigorate the U.S. computer chip industry.
It’s been touted as one of the largest federal investments in a single industry in decades.
