Our speaker will be Matthew Lerner, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Psychology, Pediatrics, and Psychiatry, Director of the Stony Brook Social Competence and Treatment Lab (SCTL), and Co-Founder and Research Director of the Autism Initiative at Stony Brook University. Dr. Lerner's research focuses on understanding mechanisms of and developing interventions to support social competence, connection, and community among individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) across the lifespan.
