BERD seminar: Introduction to Claims Data for Healthcare Research

Claims databases usually consist of millions of billable healthcare services and their related diagnoses, procedures, pharmacy prescriptions, financial and other information, and have been used as a rich data source for healthcare research. This presentation will first provide an overview of claims data and caveats of working with claims data, followed by a few example studies to illustrate the types of analyses that can be done with claims data. This event is being cross-promoted by the NC BERD Consortium, a collaboration of the CTSA-funded BERD cores at UNC-Chapel Hill, Wake Forest University School of Medicine, and Duke University School of Medicine.
