The Digital Research Faculty Working Group studied requirements relating to the preservation and life-cycle of digital research data, eventually submitting a report to the Provost that outlined administrative and technical support for digital research data from their inception in proposals, collection during the conduct of research, publication, preservation, and eventual disposition. The report creates a framework that helps researchers comply with federal regulations as well as increase the reproducibility of research. The institutional effort draw upon resources from Duke University Libraries, the Office of Information Technology, and specialized technology centers. The report was accepted by the Provost in mid-2016.
