Your gateway to science and exploration

Duke Research is published monthly by the Duke University Office of News & Communications. It connects investigators, students, research partners and others to important resources while highlighting some of the personalities and programs that make research at Duke so engaging and enlightening.

We encourage you to subscribe to a monthly email message that highlights the table of contents for each issue of Duke Research. There are also a variety of RSS feeds from the site. (SUBSCRIBE)

Each issue contains:

  • Two major feature packages, including profiles of faculty and students, interactive features, video footage, blogs, data sets and other items related to the topic.
  • A short video story.
  • A compelling and often mysterious research image, which we call 1,100 Words (A picture is worth 1,000 words … plus a 100-word caption).
  • A blog in which science writer Tom Burroughs combs the Duke campus for intriguing voices and research topics.
  • An opportunity to raise questions and discuss the stories on the site.
  • Highlights of Duke’s research headlines and of news stories about Duke research (updated weekly).
  • Highlights of upcoming speakers and other campus events involving research (updated weekly).
  • Convenient links to resources for finding Duke researchers and intellectual property.
